Under the theme “PURPOSE” TEDxFolketspark opened a global platform for sharing local inspiring stories and ideas of Malmö.
Arriving to Sweden and particularly to Malmö, Sara, Malin and I were amused by the diversity of people and ideas. Full of inspiration from each detail in on the streets of Malmö, we wanted to give back something to the city that hosted us during our studies. That was why organizing a TEDx felt the right thing to do.

With the theme “PURPOSE: If you can’t stop thinking about it, don’t stop working for it”, more than 20 volunteers and 12 local organizations, we hosted a friendly and “Glocal” event (Local people on a global scale), where 10 speakers from different fields shared their purposes. The inspiring talks were given from different perspectives, ages, gender and fields; including arts, science, technology, activism and entrepreneurship.
It was more than an event, it was a co-creative process where many voices took part, from the selection of the theme and speakers to the design of the scenography and atmosphere.
“We don’t want to separate the speakers and the audience too much, but to leave the event be a dynamic place for interaction. We want a good environment, and make it to be more than just a conference, but an afternoon where people can meet and learn from each other.”
