COMParte is a community center located in Santa Rosa, a peripheral neighborhood of Bogota, its community has limited access to economic resources and major social issues. However due to the diversity of its population, entrepreneurial initiatives and cultural commitment make this neighborhood a place full of development possibilities.

It is a project of the organization “Proyectar Sin Fronteras” and the local church to make better usage of spaces, entrepreneurial opportunities and in general, human and material resources of the neighborhood.
The design process
The design process was guided by On.Board collaborative methodology, through a series of workshops and community activities, the center was built up.

Each detail of COMParte was co-created with all participants and community members, from the name and the mission of the space, to the interior design and construction of the furniture. Based on the On.Board methodology, local resources were maximized taking advantage of the knowledge and materials available in the neighborhood.
The construction
The space was adapted with furniture made out of reused industrial waste and fixed old tables, chairs and other elements. It was co-constructed with the members of the community, the organizations involved and volunteers.
The Result
At the end of the design and construction process, COMParte center was opened with a community celebration.

Since its opening COMParte has been operating as a center for entrepreneurial, cultural and spiritual integration, and has hosted in different equipped rooms with more than 890 community participants and several national and international organizations that look for the well being of the community.
